A programme themed ‘Vietnamese cuisine and culture’ was held in Moscow, Russia, from April 12-14, as part of activities to celebrate the Hung Kings Temple Festival.


Many international friends enjoy Vietnamese traditional food.

The event aims to introduce the image of the land, culture, people and cuisine of Vietnam to international friends, particularly Russians.

The programme feature numerous pavilions showcasing various traditional Vietnamese foods, such as pho (noodle soup), nem cuon (spring rolls), tea, banh nep (sticky rice cake) and fruits.

Visitors to the programme also had a chance to join in folk games, including rope jumping, lion and dragon dance, drum dance and nhay sap (bamboo pole dance).

On April 13, an art show featuring traditional songs and dances imbued with Vietnamese cultural identities attracted a large audience.

The programme was organised by Vietnamese students at the Russian State Social University, contributing to enhancing the solidarity between Vietnamese and Russian people.
