(HBO) - At Doan Ket High School (Tan Lac), the Department of Education and Training organized the extra-curricular competition "Understanding the cultural identity of Muong ethnic people in Hoa Binh" for the high school students in Tan Lac district.

There were 5 schools taking part in the competition. They were Tan Lac High School, Muong Bi High High School, Lung Van High School, Doan Ket High School and Tan Lac Secondary School & High Boarding School for Ethnic Minority Students.

The contest was organized with the aim of creating a useful and attractive playground, the opportunities for learning, expanding knowledge and improving life skills and experiences for students. At the same time, the nation's patriotism, the national pride and self-respect could be educated. It also helped the students have a sense of preservation and promotion of national cultural identity, improving the responsibilities of school officials and teachers in the education of the national culture, the love, the pride and the self-respect for the provincial cultural identity.

Participating in the contest, the students had to pass 4 sections, including greeting, performing the national costumes, understanding knowledge and aptitude.

According to the evaluation of the Organizing Committee, the students have invested, explored and carefully prepared for the competition. In particular, the knowledge contest has shown the rich knowledge of the students about customs, culinary culture, costumes of Muong ethnic people.
The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to teams with outstanding achievements.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Tan Lac High School team, 2 second prizes to Doan Ket High School and Muong Bi High School, 2 third prizes to Lung Van High School and Tan Lac Secondary School & High Boarding School for Ethnic Minority Students.
