(HBO) - On May 24, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the tourist area of Hoa Binh lake in 2019.

Leaders of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the tourist area of Hoa Binh lakein 2019.

The beautiful photo contest, video clips promoting tourist area of Hoa Binh lake in 2019 with the theme "Tourism in Hoa Binh Lake - attractive and charming" to introduce and promote images, people, cultural identities unique, beautiful natural landscapes, cultural heritage, historical sites, festivals and attractive products.

Thereby, selecting beautiful photos, good video clips that are attractive and leave alot impressions for viewers. These are documents for propaganda and promotion for tourist area of Hoa Binh lake.

Participants are Vietnamese citizens who live and work in and outside the province; Professional and non-professional photographers of the province, domestic and international.

The works of taking photos and video clips must be done at the Hoa Binh lake tourist site with clear themes and contents, clearly and peculiarly reflecting on human resources and tourism resources.

The time to start taking the works begins on June 24 to September 24/2019. The works are sent to the Tourism Management Department - Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Address: No 5, An Duong Vuong Street, Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh province.

It is expected that the closing ceremony of awarding, presenting, introducing the award-winning works and opening the exhibition in the occasion of Hoa Binh Culture - Tourism Week, November 2019.

Muong calendar – National intangible cultural heritage

Muong calendar, known as sach doi, is an ancient folk knowledge system developed through observations of the movement of the pleiades star. This unique calendar consists of 12 bamboo sticks, each representing a lunar month. Specific days within each month are marked with distinct symbols, guiding locals in determining auspicious and inauspicious days for important activities.
