(HBO) - In the evening of December 6, the opening of Hoa Binh Culture and Tourism Week 2019 at Hoa Binh Square took place.
joining and sharing with Hoa Binh province were Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Member of the Politburo, President of the National Assembly; Vu Duc Dam, Member of the Central Party Committee and Deputy Prime Minister; leaders of ministries, central agencies and some provinces.
Hoa Binh province has comrades: Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Ninh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ngo Van Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and a large number of people.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Hoa Binh Province has beautiful landscapes. Over the past years, the province has invested in exploiting and developing tourism and aims to strive to develop tourism into an important economic sector of the province, making Hoa Binh a center of cultural, tourism and experience with the high quality of the region and the world.
Hoa Binh Culture - Tourism Week 2019 is a chance to introduce and honor the national cultural identity, cultural values, people in Hoa Binh province and national cultural heritages. Creating a space for artisans to exchange experiences, raise awareness of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the nations. This is also a chance to promote the potential of the province, promote investment, develop trade and tourism, gradually build a tourism brand "Hoa Binh - An attractive and friendly destination. Hoa Binh province wish to continue receiving the care and support of the central government, other provinces, international organizations, the domestic and foreign business community so that Hoa Binh province can firmly step up the path of innovation, integration and development.
After the ceremony there is an unique art show with over 300 actors, artisans. The art program has 3 parts. Part 1 - Originating echoes. Part 2 - Festival of the mountains. Part 3 - "Hoa Binh wishes for a new day". Ending the opening was a spectacular fireworks display.

The Muong people in Hoa Binh boast a rich and diverse cultural treasure that reflects the unique identity of this ethnic group. Accounting for over 63% of the province's population, they have created and preserved numerous distinctive cultural values, contributing to their unique identity. Their cultural heritage is an invaluable asset, at the heart of their national identity, and represents a vibrant spiritual life that must be preserved and promoted in today’s modern world.
For generations, the ethnic communities of Hoa Binh province, particularly the Muong people, have preserved vibrant festivals deeply intertwined with the region’s geography, nature, and social traditions. These celebrations enrich Hoa Binh’s spiritual life and cultural identity, reflecting both folk beliefs and the intermingling of ethnic customs. Many of these festivals have endured the test of time, passed down through generations and continuing to thrive today. Among them, the Khai Ha (Going Down to the Field) festival stands out as one of the most significant events of the Muong ethnic group.
Muong calendar, known as sach doi, is an ancient folk knowledge system developed through observations of the movement of the pleiades star. This unique calendar consists of 12 bamboo sticks, each representing a lunar month. Specific days within each month are marked with distinct symbols, guiding locals in determining auspicious and inauspicious days for important activities.
