The Hanoi Association of Photographic Artists opened an exhibition showcasing 150 photos featuring streets of Hanoi and locals’ lifestyle from many different angles at Trang Tien street on October 6.

The photos exhibited were chosen from more than 2,000 works of 343 photographers from 31 localities nationwide competing in the 47th Art Photography Contest.

Addressing the event, Dang Dinh An, President of the Hanoi Association of Photographic Artists noted that Hanoi is changing rapidly, but the city remains peaceful and warm, with locals still keeping their elegance and traditional lifestyle.

Impressive moments of the capital’s daily life have been captured by photographers and showcased in this exhibition, he said.

This year, the contest presented a prize for first place; two prizes were presented to second place winners, three prizes for third and 10 consolation prizes.

The first prize went to photographer Nguyen Xuan Loc, who captures a bamboo pole dance in the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake.
