(HBO) - The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference to review the work of culture, sports, tourism and family in the first 6 months of the year, and to implement the key tasks in the last 6 months of 2023 as well.

In the first 6 months of the year, the department has achieved the positive results. The activities of. The visual propaganda, culture, art, and sports have been implemented in the rich and diverse contents and forms, well serving the political tasks and meeting the needs of the cultural and spiritual enjoyment of the local people. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life” and the family work have continued to be deployed in association with the implementation of the movement to build a new countryside and a civilized urban lifestyle.
The Department has advised the steps in the process of making a dossier of the Mo Muong intangible cultural heritage to submit it to UNESCO for the registration on the list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection. They have also submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgating the project "Preserving and promoting the cultural values of Muong ethnic group and Hoa Binh culture”. They have also promulgated the plan and established a Committee to develop a scientific dossier to propose the ranking of a special national special monument for the archeological relic of Trai hamlet and the archeological site of the Stone Roof in Vanh village (Lac Son) and some other important works.
In the field of sports, the highlight is the establishment of a provincial sports delegation to participate in the national and regional sports tournaments with 13 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 19 bronze medals. The tourism sector has been paid to, it is estimated to welcome 2,360,000 visitors in the whole village, which has reached 67.4% of the year plan, the total revenue from tourism is 2,300 billion VND, reaching 59% of the year plan.

Muong calendar, known as sach doi, is an ancient folk knowledge system developed through observations of the movement of the pleiades star. This unique calendar consists of 12 bamboo sticks, each representing a lunar month. Specific days within each month are marked with distinct symbols, guiding locals in determining auspicious and inauspicious days for important activities.
