(HBO) - The State management over tourism in Hoa Binh remains inadequate due to lack of managers and qualified human resources for the sector.

The art troupe of Thai Binh ward (Hoa Binh city)
was joined by tourists in a Xoe dance at the Muong Culture Space Museum.
In order to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, the
provincial Steering Committee for Tourism Development has set out specific
tasks and solutions, of which an important one is developing human resources
serving the sector.
On the one hand, the province will build preferential mechanisms for
attracting qualified human resources for the local tourism industry (with
priority given to building a contingent of professional and competitive tourist
workers), thus enhancing the sector’s competitiveness and attracting more
tourists to the locality. On the other hand, the locality will focus on the training
work, thus improving professional capacity and skills for staff in charge of State
management of tourism at all levels, and the management capacity for units,
enterprises, and business households involved in tourism.
Training will also be provided for persons who are working at tourism
sites, hotels, restaurants. Attention will be given to training local labourers
for service jobs at tourism sites, in hospitality establishments and in transporting
visitors, especially in the Hoa Binh Lake national tourism area and Mai Chau
district. The province will promote social investment, especially cooperation
and involvement of enterprises and organisations, in human resource training
for tourism.
These orientations have been concretised into specific action programmes,
under which more training courses in tourism skills were held in 2017.
Mr. Lo Cao Nhum, who runs a household tourism business in Lac village,
Chieng Chau commune in Mai Chau district, said in July 2017, the provincial
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organised a five-day training course on
homestay tourism for business households in the district. At the course, lecturers
from the Hanoi Tourism College provided learners with basic skills in serving
tourists at homestay accommodations; in communicating and handling various situations
arising in the process of serving visitors; as well as in ensuring security, safety,
and food hygiene.
"The course helped us run our business in a more professional and effective
manner”, he stressed, adding that almost kids in the locality can now use
English to communicate with foreign tourists. /.
As the new year begins and festive spirit fills the air, visitors flock to Hoa Binh lake, often dubbed the "Ha Long Bay on land," to enjoy its breathtaking beauty and serene atmosphere. In spring, the lake comes alive with lush greenery and delicate blossoms, while boats carrying eager tourists glide across its tranquil waters.
With effective business operations, significant increases in the number of visitors at weekends and on public holidays, and being listed among the 71 most beautiful places to visit worldwide by the prestigious US travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller, Hoa Binh’s tourism is "spreading its wings" on its journey towards the targets of welcoming 4.9 million visitors, including 1 million foreigners, and achieving total tourism revenue of 5.4 trillion VND (211.89 million USD) in 2025.
On February 21, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to implement the tourism plan in 2025 and meet with tourism businesses operating in the province. The event was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Head of the Provincial Tourism Steering Committee.
Tien Pagoda is located in the valley of Lao Noi and Lao Ngoai villages, Phu Nghia commune, Lac Thuy district; it is surrounded by two mountain ranges stretching like two giant dragons reaching for the blue sky. Cao Phong has paid due attention to developing tourism, creating impetus for socio-economic development towards completing the targets set in the resolution of the district’s 28th Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure.
A great number of visitors have flocked to tourist attractions in Hoa Binh province in the first lunar month every year to admire the beautiful scenery, fully enjoy the spring atmosphere, and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere in many localities.
