The set up is part of the activities scheduled for the Mid-autumn Festival by the Hanoi city People’s Committee, Vietnam Television, and Phuong Dong joint Stock Company.

The lantern space, the first of its kind to be held around Hoan Kiem lake, is designed as a tourist attraction for pedestrians, families and visitors in Hanoi on the occasion.

The festival will also offer visitors a party of music, comedy, circus acts and exciting dances through the performances of popular Vietnamese comedians and singers, including Xuan Bac, Tu Long, and Ai Phuong, as well as artists from the Thang Long Puppetry Theatre and the Vietnam Circus Federation.

Children at the festival will have an opportunity to visit booths displaying traditional toys for the Mid-autumn festival, play folk games, join a lantern procession and lion dances, and # join in a mass flashmob.
