(HBO) – The Hoa Binh People’s Committee joined hands with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to hold a launch ceremony for the province’s tourism portal on November 18.
Leaders
of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee, VNPT, the provincial Department of
Information and Communications and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism
pushed the button to launch the smart tourism system of Hoa Binh province.
The provincial smart tourism portal at https://hoabinhtourism.vn
is expected to enhance the link between local authorities, people, tourists and
businesses. It will help authorities supervise, manage and interact with
tourism operators.
In addition, it will assist travel agencies
to bolster connection while potential visitors of the province could study the
locality’s unique characteristics.
One outstanding feature of the province’s
smart tourism portal is that tourists can easily look for information on the
province’s tourism like a handbook just by clicking on the website on a
computer or smart phone.
Thanks to the combination of a digital
tourist map and information on location, tourists can take the initiate to plan
their trip, and look for basic tourist information, current and upcoming
events, along with bus and coach schedule and routes, to restaurants, hotels,
supermarkets, malls and places for recreation.
The portal is part of the smart urban plan which
uses information and communication technology to establish a tourism eco-system
and foster linkage between tourists, authorities and businesses, towards
building high-quality tourism.
The launch of the smart tourism portal is
hoped to help Hoa Binh fully tap potential and promote Hoa Binh’s tourism to
domestic and international tourists./.
