(HBO) - Recently, the tourism sector has always paid attention to improving the quality of the accommodation facilities to bring satisfaction to tourists, making Hoa Binh an ideal destination of the North.

In 2019, the province welcomed 3.1 million turns of visitors, reaching 103.7% of the plan (increasing 15.4% compared to 2018), of which, the turns of the international visitors were 406,348 (increasing 30.1%), the turns of the domestic visitors were 2,704,891 (increasing 13.5%). The total revenue from tourism reached 1,152 billion VND, the income from tourism reached nearly 2,075 billion VND (up 17.1%). 

Homestay at Da Bia community resort, Tien Phong (Da Bac) has been paying attention to arranging the room space to improve the quality of accommodation.

Currently, there are 434 accommodation facilities in the whole province. They include 39 hotels: 6 three-star hotels with 460 rooms and 720 beds, 25 two-star hotels with 882 rooms and 1,646 beds, 8 one-star hotels with 146 rooms and 218 beds, 238 motels and 157 community guesthouses.

Tourist accommodation facilities of the province have strengths. The system of houses on stilts associated with community tourism activities in Mai Chau, Da Bac and Lac Son districts is of relatively high quality, which is stable in terms of facilities and service style. The community tourism destinations, doing business effectively, contributing to raising incomes for people are highly appreciated by tourists. 

From 2016 up till now, our province is one of the few localities which continuously have been awarded ASEAN prize for homestay and the area of community tourism. The accommodation facilities receiving ASEAN awards for homestay are Lac community tourism site in Chieng Chau commune (Mai Chau), the homestay cluster of Hich 2 hamlet in Mai Hich commune (Mai Chau), the homestay cluster of Suoi Mu in Tu Do commune (Lac Son). 

The accommodation facilities receiving ASEAN award for Community Tourism are the community tourism site in Pom Coong hamlet, Mai Chau town (Mai Chau), Da Bia community tourism area in Tien Phong commune (Da Bac). The system of accommodation facilities has exploited the cultural identities of the ethnic groups in the decoration, the basic design, the staff costume and souvenir production for guests, the staff is friendly and hospitable ...

To ensure the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, all tourism accommodation facilities in the province are always proactive in cleaning and disinfecting the accommodation system and means of transporting tourists. The tourism zones and sites, the restaurants recommend and distribute face masks to tourists. They have asked visitors and officials to wear face masks as recommended by the Ministry of Health. They always arrange tourist flow to avoid large crowds at one location. In particular, the tourism accommodation facilities strictly implement the declaration of visitors' personal information with functional forces. They have pledged not to accept visitors from the epidemic area and actively report to authorities on cases of suspected Covid-19 infection to take measures to isolate and manage guests according to the regulations.

In the coming time, the province's tourism sector will implement a number of solutions to improve the quality of accommodation facilities such as increasing the investment attraction in the field of tourism, having a planning objectives to meet the requirements of tourists as well as the orientation of the sustainable socio-economic development, overcoming the weaknesses in the infrastructure, the information technology and the tourist guides, improving the quality of human resources for tourism.
