The programme, held as part of a campaign hosted by the VNAT, aims to advertise Vietnam’s charm to key tourism markets during the remaining months of 2017 and has attracted the participation of tourism agencies and travel companies in Italy.

Visitors attending the event were introduced to the beautiful natural landscapes and the life-style and people of Vietnam, whilst enjoying traditional Vietnamese songs and dances.

According to VNAT Deputy General Director, Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Vietnam always regards Italy as a key and potential tourism market in its tourism development strategy.

She noted with pleasure that, since the two countries established their strategic partnership in 2013, the number of Italian visitors to Vietnam has continued to grow, with yearly increases of between 10% and 15%. The countries’ bilateral cooperation in tourism has also witnessed significant outcomes.

In 2016, Vietnam welcomed more than 51,000 Italian travellers, an increase of 27.2% in comparison to the previous year.

Following its success in Italy, the same programme will be held in Valencia city, Spain, on October 5.
