(HBO) – Hoa Binh Lake in Hoa Binh province with the beauty of mountain and water has become a favourite destination for many domestic and foreign visitors, as they have a chance to not only enjoy the peaceful spaces but also experience adventure games on the lake, including kayaking and rowing.
Tourists
excited to experience kayaking on Hoa Binh Lake.
Currently, in community-based tourism
villages around the Hoa Binh Lake such as Mo Hem and Duc Phong in Tien Phong
commune, Ke in Hien Luong commune of Da Bac district, and Ngoi in Suoi Hoa
commune in Tan Lac, homestay owners have invested in upgrading infrastructure
systems to preserve, restore and promote the cultural identity of their ethnic groups
and ensure environment protection.
At the same time, they have taken the advantage
of the lake to organize activities and games on the water such as rowing and
fishing, bringing new experience to tourists.
Lo Thi Trang, the owner of Lake View
Homestay in Tien Phong commune, said that one of the activities that draw the
highest number of tourists to community-based tourism villages in Da Bac is
kayaking and raft rowing.
In order to ensure safety for tourists, the
owners of homestays have equipped tourists with life vest and arranged rescue personnel
in rowing areas, while regularly examining and maintaining the boats to ensure
operational safety.
Before getting on board, visitors receive
guidance on how to row and get out of the boat. Even the first timerscan be
confident to row after being instructed and wearing life vest, Trang said.
Taking off her life vest after rowing
around, Nguyen Mai Lan, a visitor from Ninh Binh province, said exuberantly:
"It’s a big fun to row on the massive water area of the
lake. I feel like I’ve just completed a tough mission. We receive life vest and
instructions on basic rowing skills, while seeing rescuers around, which
brought us the feeling of safety to freely enjoy water activities.”/.
Hoa Binh province’s rich natural and cultural resources position it as a prime location for developing community-based tourism (CBT). In recent years, support from central and provincial policies, as well as assistance from non-governmental organisations, have encouraged local ethnic minority and mountainous communities to actively engage in the sector.
Van Son Commune, Tan Lạc district, Hoa Binh province also known as "Cloud Valley," boasts a cool climate, stunning natural landscapes, and majestic scenery. Visitors who have been to this place should make a stop at Chien Hamlet to experience a lot of fascinating things and feel the friendly, warmth of the Muong ethnic people.
Thanks to the effective exploitation of natural landscape and the cultural diversity of ethnic minorities, Hoa Binh province has become an attractive destination for tourists seeking experiences and exploration.
The Department of Cultural Heritage has just coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province to organize a training on implementing the model of the cultural heritage connected in the cultural tourism journey in Cao Phong and Lac Son districts.
The Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, is endowed with pristine natural landscape, and Dao Tien ethnic minority community in the village preserves rich cultural heritage, including traditional housing, clothing, language, scripts, customs, and daily life practices. Since the community-based tourism model was introduced in the locality, these traditional cultural values have been further preserved and promoted.
