(HBO) – Over the past years, Da Bac district of Hoa Binh province has mobilised resources and designed policies to promote and attract investment in tourism development, especially community-based tourism.

Da Bac Ecolodge eco-tourism site in Hien Luong commune, Da Bac district, is an ideal destination for visitors to explore.

About 70km of the 200-km long Hoa Binh Lake run through Da Bac district. The locality is well-known for its beautiful landscapes including Thac Bo temple, which helps it attract tens of thousands of visitors each year.

In recent years, the district has lured a number of investors in the tourism sector. So far, Da Bac has developed many community-based tourist sites in Ke village of Hien Luong commune, Duc Phong and Mo Hem villages in Tien Phong commune, and Sung village in Cao Son commune. These areas have unique cultural identities from local ethnic minority groups with special traditions, architecture, costumes, music, dance and festivals, which make them strong in tourism. In 2020, Da Bac welcomed more than 90,000 visitors with revenue of 30 billion VND.

As part of its tourism development strategy, since 2017, the People’s Committee of Da Bac has built a plan to boost the sector to 2020 with a vision to 2030. Its objectives include specifying orientations for tourism planning and development, turning Da Bac into an attractive tourist destination of the province, contributing to creating jobs, improving incomes for local residents, speeding up the economic transition of the locality and creating more income sources for the State budget.

With its potential and efforts to complete traffic infrastructure to make travelling more easily and promoting tourism investment, Da Bac has high hope to enjoy strong growth in tourism to match its potential and advantages./.
