(HBO) - Mai Chau Hideaway officially came into operation in April 2018 with 31 rooms meeting 3-star standards. It is only 130km away from the hustle bustle of Hanoi.


Mai Chau Hideaway resort in Son Thuy commune is a perfect vacation getaway in the Hoa Binh Lake tourism site.

From the resort, holidaymakers can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the lake, the reservoir of the Hoa Binh hydro power plant, watching boat passing by, islets of all sizes in the lake and the faraway mountains.

There are plenty of unique experiences waiting for holidaymakers to enjoy and explore, particularly the serenity when watching dawn or sunset next to the infinity pool or strolling amid the greenery of nature while listening to the sound of the wind, and smelling the scents of plants and flowers. It brings moments of relaxation to visitors and help them connect with nature.

Mai Chau Hideawayalso offers various facilities such as a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and garden. All rooms have thatched roofs and wooden furniture that bring a rustic feel, along with modern amenities.

According to Dang Van Thanh, deputy general director and manager of Mai Chau Hideaway, before the Covid-19 epidemic hit Vietnam, the resort was a popular destination for many international tourists, especially holidaymakers from France, Germany, Australia. In 2021, the resort has offered many incentives such as room discounts and free services like fishing, rafting, and free kayaking to help tourists have unique experience under the tourism stimulation programme. As a result, the number of visitors to the resort remains stable despite the pandemic.

Currently, after a period of closure as part of disease prevention and control measures, the resort has reopened from May 28. To ensure safe tourism amid the pandemic, Mai Chau Hideaway has been strictly followed pandemic prevention measures including "5K" and self-assessment as required by the national COVID-19 safety system.
