The COVID-19 pandemic has substantially affected the socio-economic situation of Vietnam over the last two years. On October 18, the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh announced that the province is at Pandemic Level No. 1, which means low risk. This is a favourable condition for the province to recover socio-economic activities, especially tourism.

Themed "Visit Hoa Binh - safe, friendly and attractive destination”, the conference aimed to advertise the province as a destination with quality tourism products able to meet travel demand of Vietnamese people and foreigners living in the country, helping to gradually reopen to international visitors.

At the event, travel stimulus packages were announced by local businesses, including the Dinh Nhuan Trading JSC, Da Bac Community-based Tourism JSC, Hoa Binh Tourism JSC, Mai Chau Hideway Resort, Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists, Serena Resort Kim Boi, and V-Resort Kim Boi.

Addressing the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan and Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Pham Van Thuy asked local authorities to work with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities to ensure pandemic safety and increase popularising Hoa Binh’s tourism among domestic travellers, especially those in Hanoi.

They requested travel companies to realise their commitment to reducing prices but keeping quality, boost the advertisement of promotional programmes, improve people and businesses’ awareness of the pandemic prevention and control, ensure safety for tourists and workers, pay attention to food safety, and carry out environmental protection measures.

On this occasion, the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club presented gifts to the People’s Committee and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province./.
