(HBO) – The farmers’ union of Mai Chau district held a ceremony on October 10 to launch a society of farmers engaging in homestay business in Pa Co commune.

The society comprises 23 members, with six members from the farmers’ union of Pa Co commune. It operates on the principle of voluntary and self-management and democratic centralism. All issues are discussed and agreed in a democratic and open manner.
It mainly works on popularizing information on guidelines and policies of the Party and State, and socio-economic development policies, orientations of the locality related to its operation.
The society’s establishment aims to create a close connection among members who have a passion for community tourism business, thus taking advantage of available potential and strengths of the locality in order to improve its members' living standards and promote sustainable tourism development.
It will also collect members’ aspirations, suggestions and recommendations related to tourism, agriculture, farmer and rural development, and programmes to build model of new-style rural areas and model residential areas, and submits those to Party and State agencies, the Vietnam Farmers' Union and relevant agencies./.

At festivals, during Lunar New Year (Tet), or on significant family or community occasions, special dishes are prepared, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
