(HBO) – The authority of Luong Son district has focused on attracting investment in the development of ecotourism in combination with resort, adventure, and sport and entertainment tourism in order to meet the demand of short-duration entertainment and relaxation of tourists, especially on weekends.

Son commune (Luong Son district) - the largest golf resort in the North, is an
ideal destination for golfers.
There are many tourist attractions in Luong Son district that are operating as
resorts, including Dong Goi Pandora Eco Retreat in Hoa Son commune, Sunset
Resort in Tan Vinh commune, La Ferme du Colvert Spa Ecolodge and Beverly Hills
in Cu Yen commune, Ivory Villa&Resort and Phoenix Golf Resort in Lam Son
commune, and My Hanh GardenRestauran in Hoa Son commune. Meanwhile, Luong
Son Tourism JSC is an outstanding provider of tourism transport services.
There are five projects that are under the survey process in the district,
namely Jewel resort ecotourism, Wilderland organic ecological farm for educational
development and science and biotechnology, Green Life Hoa Binh resort, Sport
City project, and Hoa Binh Ville De Montage.
Historical, cultural and scenic sites such as Da Bac cave, Quat Lam pagoda,
Trung Bao communal house, Ba Lam communal house, Quen Thi communal house, and
Tu Temple in the locality have been embellished, becoming attractive spiritual
tourist destinations.
The driftwood and ornamental stone craft villages in sLam Son commune also
welcome visitors, contributing to diversifying tourism products.
In recent years, ancillary services for tourism development such as
restaurants, appear more and more, typically restaurants of Muong cuisine.
The locality has also paid heed to preserving and promoting national cultural
identities in combination with tourism development.
In the last five years, the district attracted investment from organisations,
businesses and households for tourism development. It is now home to six
tourist attractions which are operating in the ecotourism model combined with
resorting, entertainment and sports.
In 2020, the district welcomed over 76,000 foreign arrivals and 51,000 domestic
visitors, earning 342 billion VND. Accommodation establishments in the locality
have created jobs for 251 labourers with per capita monthly income averaging
5-7 million VND. In the first nine months of 2021, the district served nearly
87,000 tourists, raking in 171.5 billion VND.
According to head of the Department of Culture and Sports of Luong Son district
Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, the district has set to attract over 1 million visitors
with a total revenue of 2 trillion VND in the 2021 – 2025. It aims to
develop into a town in the 2025 – 2030 period.
The local authority has taken a series of measures to promote its tourism
potential, including building a tourism website and participating in investment
promotion conferences./.
Hoa Binh province’s rich natural and cultural resources position it as a prime location for developing community-based tourism (CBT). In recent years, support from central and provincial policies, as well as assistance from non-governmental organisations, have encouraged local ethnic minority and mountainous communities to actively engage in the sector.

Thanks to the effective exploitation of natural landscape and the cultural diversity of ethnic minorities, Hoa Binh province has become an attractive destination for tourists seeking experiences and exploration.
The Department of Cultural Heritage has just coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province to organize a training on implementing the model of the cultural heritage connected in the cultural tourism journey in Cao Phong and Lac Son districts.
The Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, is endowed with pristine natural landscape, and Dao Tien ethnic minority community in the village preserves rich cultural heritage, including traditional housing, clothing, language, scripts, customs, and daily life practices. Since the community-based tourism model was introduced in the locality, these traditional cultural values have been further preserved and promoted.
