(HBO) – The tourism sector of Hoa Binh has recovered positively, serving about 938,000 visitors in the first quarter of this year, up 99.6 percent year on year and fulfilling 36.4 percent of the yearly plan.
Of the total, 20,000
were foreigners, reaching 20 percent of the yearly target, and 918,000 domestic
visitors, completing 37 percent of its goal for the whole year.
Revenue generated from tourism activities in the period reached 950 billion VND
(41.54 million USD), up 109.3 percent year on year and fulfilling 39.6 percent
of the year's target.
The Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists has become an attractive
destination for visitors in Cao Phong district.
Along with the full opening of tourism activities since mid-March, the province
is speeding up its recovery and development plan with safe, flexible and
adaptation to and effective control of COVID-19. Many localities such as Hoa
Binh city, Mai Chau, Lac Thuy, and Tan Lac districts have focused on building
safe destinations, while renovating their tourism products, connecting tourism
routes with other provinces and cities.
Meanwhile, the province has strengthened tourism promotion activities and
organised various tourism, cultural and sport events to spread the message of
"Hoa Binh - Safe Destination - Full Experience"./.
A diverse chain of eco-tourism and resort destinations concentrated in Hoa Binh city and the districts of Tan Lac, Da Bac, and Luong Son… Along with the launch of several key high-quality resort tourism projects, these developments have reshaped the landscape and enhanced the appeal of Hoa Binh as a travel destination.

Until now, Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district remains the only Dao ethnic community in Hoa Binh province to develop a community-based tourism model. Beyond its untouched natural landscapes, cultural identity serves as the cornerstone attraction for visitors.
Alongside the diverse cultural identities of the Kinh, Muong, Tay, Thai, Dao, and Mong ethnic people, Hoa Binh province is also renowned as the "capital" of the northwestern Vietnamese cuisine, offering unique and distinctive dishes. At festivals, during Lunar New Year (Tet), or on significant family or community occasions, special dishes are prepared, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
