(HBO) - Being located in the semi-mountainous space surrounded by the rocky mountains and a system of magnificent caves, near Cuc Phuong national forest, Yen Thuy district has a charming and attractive natural landscape with 12 monuments and beauty spots and caves that have been ranked. Each beauty spot contains unique material and spiritual values, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.


Hang Pagoda - Chua cave in Yen Tri commune (Yen Thuy) is an attraction for tourists from all over the country admiring the scenery.

Muong ethnic community in Yen Thuy district all come to Tac Duc pagoda at the foot of Khu Khoi mountain because of its sacredness and special things. Nestled under the ancient Gao tree (Bombax), the name of the pagoda always brings good luck, protects the virtuous people who always act for justice. The people in the region also call the pagoda by the name of Giai Oan pagoda. In the pagoda, there is an altar to Buddha, the god of the mountain and the lord of the mountains, etc. This is one of the tourist attractions, especially at the beginning of the year.

From the district center, along National Highway 12B to Yen Tri commune, visitors can see a unique pagoda on the left, Hang Pagoda - Chua cave. This place is also known as Van Quang Dong, because it was built in Van Quang cave. In addition, there are also famous scenic spots, historical and cultural relics of Xam communal house in the district. The communal house was built at the end of the 18th century to worship the citadel Bui Van Khu - a famous martial artist of the Le dynasty. Recently, the communal house has been repaired and embellished on the old foundation of the old communal house, shaped like a nail, including the harem and the communal house. The fesstival of Xam communal house takes place from the 6th to the 8th of the first lunar month every year.

There are not only the diverse spiritual tourism destinations, the district also has many potentials for eco-tourism. Some remarkable scenic spots are Nuoc Cave - Thien Ton cave in Ngoc Luong commune, which is a cave with the countless stalactites located in the heart of Mieu mountain. In the cave, there is a floating rock that looks like an elephant prostrating in front of the door. On the right side from the outside in, there are 4 Chinese characters written "Thien Quang Ton Dong” on the left. Above the cave arch there are huge and magnificent stalactites. In Lac Luong commune, there is Thien Long cave and the primeval forest with only the primeval forest. The system of the primeval forests here is well protected, there are many precious woods, the high hundred-year-old Parashorea Chinensis and the diverse tropical vegetation. Additionally, there is an open-air hot spring of Vo Am mineral water in Ngọc Luong, the temperature when drilling for a survey is about 40 degrees celsius. Currently, there is an investment project to build a tourism area combined with the mineral water production with a scale of about 5 hectares.

Mr. Tran Trung Kien, the Head of the District’s Information and Culture Office, introduced: Yen Thuy is also famous for its cuisine with typical flavors of Muong ethnic people such as pomelo-leaf rolls, chicken cooked with sour bamboo shoots... The specialties such as Lac Luong and Lac Sy honey; Muong Dinh wine in Phu Lai commune; Dien pomelo in Ngoc Luong and chicken raising on the hills, prickly pear, zucchini, pumpkin, taro, watermelon. To meet the accommodation needs of tourists, in the whole district there are 13 hotels and motels, of which there are about thirty 2-star rooms and 150 tourism-standard rooms. There are also many restaurants, cafes, karaoke in Hang Tram town and Ngoc Luong, Yen Tri, Lac Thinh, Bao Hieu communes.

Currently, the district is actively calling for investment to exploit and promote tourism advantages. From now to 2030, the will focus on building key tourism areas and attractions: The complex of Yen Thuy tourism and resort and golf course in Huu Loi commune, Hang Tram town; the ecological tourism areas, resorts and sports in association with the conservation and development of the national beauty spots of Thien Long cave, the natural forest in Lac Luong commune, Da Phuc; the spiritual tourist destination of Tac Duc pagoda; Vo Am hot mineral water mine resort in Ngoc Luong commune; Nuoc cave eco-tourism area - Thien Ton cave in Ngoc Luong commune; the spiritual tourism site Chua cave- Hang pagoda in Yen Tri commune. The tours and tourism routes to the district are mainly Hanoi - Yen Thuy - Cuc Phuong national park; the tourism routes within the district are Hang Tram town - Hang pagoda - Thuong communal house - Trung communal house - Chua Thuong cave; Hang Tram town - Ram communal house - Tac Duc pagoda - Dai Xa communal house; Hang Tram town - Xam communal house - Nuoc cave, Thien Ton cave.
