(HBO) - On April 22nd, the People's Committee of Cao Phong District held a workshop promoting the tourism in Cao Phong district in 2022. The leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the District’s Party Committee and the People's Committee, the representatives of the appropriate authorities and locality; the businesses researching and promoting investment in tourism in Cao Phong district attended the wporkshop.

Cao Phong district has many potentials and advantages for tourism development. Currently, the district is gradually forming and developing tourism products, including the community cultural tourism (Mo hamlet in Binh Thanh commune, Tien hamlet in Thung Nai commune...); the spiritual tourism (Khanh pagoda, Thach Yen commune; Bong Lai and Dong Son temples, Cao Phong town); the eco-tourism (the area of Hoa Binh lake, the complex of Nui Dau Rong cave...). In the whole district, there are 18 accommodation business establishments; 13 restaurants that can serve about 1,200 guests a day; 2 cooperatives and 1 community tourism cooperative group. The district is also actively attracting the investment, developing the tourism projects in the area, in which, they have been focusing on speeding up the investment progress of building the cultural space of Mo Muong Hoa Binh in Hop Phong commune. 

Although it is highly appreciated for the potential and advantages, Cao Phong district's tourism development has not been commensurate. On average, the district welcome about 300,000 tourists every year, and the revenue is about 20 billion VND, accounting for about only 10% of the economic structure of the district… Therefore, the district advocates to promote the solutions for the. tourism development in the period of 2021 - 2030, turning the tourism into a spearhead economic sector and building Cao Phong district into an attractive destination with the characteristic, rich and attractive tourism products. 

At the workshop, the delegates discussed many issues related to the development of Cao Phong tourism today. Thereby, they proposed the important solutions to remove difficulties, mobilize and connect the resources to improve the quality of tourism products, promoting Cao Phong tourism to develop in a sustainable way. 

Getting the comments at the workshop, the People's Committee of Cao Phong District would supplement and complete the district's plans for tourism development in the near future, in the immediate future it is the period of 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030.
