(HBO) - Hoa Binh’s tourism sector has recorded an impressive recovery from the second quarter of 2022.

Hoa Binh boasts beautiful natural landscapes and unique culture. The northern province has fully tapped its potential and advantages and diversified products and services, contributing to further promoting local tourism development.

Thanks to the poetic landscape integrated with diverse services and professional service style, the resort is very popular with tourists. The average occupancy rate is over 70%, and is always full during long holidays.

Other tourist resorts such as Avana Retreat, Ba Khan Villa Resort, Mai Chau Hideaway in Mai Chau district; and An Lac Ecofarm Hot and Spring in Kim Boi district; Ivory Villas & Resort, Sun Set, Phoenix Golf Phoenix in Luong Son district; Hasu Villas in Hoa Binh city, are also popular with visitors.

Community-based tourism sites in Hoa Binh are also attractive to tourists.

According to Vice Chairman of the Da Bac district People’s Committee Ban Kim Quy, the local authority has worked hard to boost post-COVID-19 tourism recovery.

Da Bac welcomed over 20,000 tourists, including foreigners, after travel restrictions were lifted, Quy said.

A series of culture and sport activities, and tourism promotion programmes and fairs have been organised in Hoa Binh recently to lure tourists.

Vice Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui Xuan Truong said along with the province's efforts to organise tourism stimulus events, diversifying tourism products has helped speed up tourism recovery and lure more holiday-makers to Hoa Binh.

In the first half of 2022, Hoa Binh welcomed over 1.8 million visitors, equivalent to 71% of the yearly plan. The locality raked in nearly 2 trillion VND (nearly 84.99 million USD) in the period, up 124.5% year-on-year./.
