The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province has just issued Plan No. 128 to implement the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 08 dated February 23, 2024 on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in Hoa Binh province.

Accordingly, agencies are requested to direct organisations and individuals involving in tourism services to publicise prices and sell products in line with the listed price. Strict punishment will be imposed on those who make profit from price gouging or misleading advertising, affecting the province’s image, and those who facilitate or cover up such violations.
The plan also aims to build a favourable business environment, encourage innovation and creative startups, develop corporate brands and assist small and medium-sized enterprises in applying science and technology, digital transformation and accessing capital sources. Unique indigenous cultural values and natural landscapes will be preserved and promoted for sustainable tourism development. Preferential policies will be issued, along with support to individuals, organisations and communities engaging in community-based and agricultural tourism products and services. The province will zone areas for night-time economy in association with night-time tourism, and develop diverse services and products at popular destinations. Plans and tasks for environmental protection are also part of the plan.
Hoa Binh province’s rich natural and cultural resources position it as a prime location for developing community-based tourism (CBT). In recent years, support from central and provincial policies, as well as assistance from non-governmental organisations, have encouraged local ethnic minority and mountainous communities to actively engage in the sector.

The Department of Cultural Heritage has just coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province to organize a training on implementing the model of the cultural heritage connected in the cultural tourism journey in Cao Phong and Lac Son districts.
The Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, is endowed with pristine natural landscape, and Dao Tien ethnic minority community in the village preserves rich cultural heritage, including traditional housing, clothing, language, scripts, customs, and daily life practices. Since the community-based tourism model was introduced in the locality, these traditional cultural values have been further preserved and promoted.
