Duong Lam ancient village recalls the old days

Located in Son Tay Town, 40 km to the west of Hanoi, Duong Lam village is a great destination to find peace. Once entering, visitors will feel like they’ve found another world hackening back to the old days.

Numerous foreign tourists find it interesting to cycle around the village.

The Communal House of Mong Phu Hamlet is on the must-see list.

Visitors should not miss taking a photo of the gate, which is in the typical architectural style of an old Vietnamese village.

The village is also famous for making soy sauce. 80-year-old Ha Thi Phi learned to make it at the age of 15.

Situated at the end of the village, an ancient house owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Hung is one of the attractions.

Built in 1649, its structure and furniture remains intact.

The house has 5 chambers with 2 wings. The 3 middle chambers are the space intended for worshipping ancestors. The other chambers are bedrooms.

Once in the village, tourists can feel the peaceful atmosphere.
