(HBO) - A provincial delegation led by Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council, on July 17 offered incense and flowers to commemorate heroes and martyrs at the Truong Son and Road 9 national martyrs’ cemeteries in the central province of Quang Tri.

Other members included Nguyen Van Toan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the provincial steering committee for caring for people with meritorious services; Bui Tien Luc, head of the provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Department and Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and representatives of the departments and agencies of the province.


The delegation offers incence and flowers to commemorate the heroes and martyrs at the Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery.

The construction of the Road 9 cemetery in Dong Ha city began on September 2, 1995. It was named after Road 9, which witnessed heroic and glorious victories in the 1965-1972 period during the resistance war against the US. It is now the resting place of more than 10,800 heroes and martyrs.

The Truong Son cemetery, located on Ben Tat hill in Gio Linh district, accommodates more than 10,200 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the Ho Chi Minh trail during the resistance war against the US. At the cemetery, there are 85 graves of martyrs from Hoa Binh.

The delegation offered incence and wreathes at the two cemeteries and took a minute of silence to express their gratitude for the great merits of late President Ho Chi Minh, and heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and freedom.

On the same day, they visited the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in the central province of Quang Binh’s Quang Trach district.

Cao Phong oranges has been entering the 2022-2023 crop

(HBO) - Cao Phong district has officially entered the orange harvest season, the 2022-2023 crop. In the whole district there are currently 1,744.4 hectares of citrus trees, the output in this 2022 - 2023 crop is estimated at about 22,000 tons. Particularly, the area of oranges is about 1,500 hectares, the output is estimated at 18,000 tons, of which the area of oranges produced according to VietGAP standards is about 536.77 hectares.
