(HBO) - Within the framework of activities of the first Fish and Shrimp Festival of Da river in Hoa Binh province; OCOP Agricultural Fair and product exhibition in the Northern midlands and mountainous areas in 2023, in the evening of October 26, the Provincial People's Committee held the festival praying for fish and releasing flower lanterns on Da River.
There was
the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the Party
Central Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Bui Duc
Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of
the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Van Khanh, the Deputy Secretary of the
Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
There was als the attendance of Mr. Phet In Tha Son, the Deputy Director of the
Department of Education and Sports of Hua Phan province, Lao People's
Democratic Republic; the representative from Quang Ngai province; the leaders
from other departments and branches, the People's Committees of the districts
and the city along with a large number of people and tourists from all over the
country.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the
Party Central Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and
the leaders from the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the
People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province were preparing
to release flower lanterns on Da River.
Making a
speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the
Provincial People's Committee, said: the festival praying for fish and
releasing flower lanterns on Da River has profound spiritual meaning. This
activity contributes to honoring the spiritual and cultural values and beauty
of the spiritual culture of Vietnamese people, with the purpose of praying for
the yin and the yang, the peace in the country and people, good weather and
wind, a year of bumper harvests, the peaceful and prosperous country.

After the
opening speech of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the
provincial leaders and a large number of people conducted a ceremony releasing
2,000 flower lanterns on Da River. According to Vietnamese folk culture,
lanterns mean flower lights and in the Buddhist concept, lanterns have the
meaning of the name Infinite Light. Lanterns are lit to honor the spiritual and
cultural values of Vietnamese people on major holidays. Releasing flower
lanterns according to the thoughts of Vietnamese culture brings health and
fortune to every home and is a place where people come back with wishes, luck,
peace and goodness. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for everyone to
pray for the country to be prosperous and the people to be prosperous and
happy.

incense to pray for fish.
The first
Shrimp and Fish Festival of Da river in Hoa Binh province; the Agricultural
Fair and OCCOP exhibition in the Northern midlands and mountainous areas in
2023 would take place from October 26 - 31, 2023 with many attractive
activities. In particular, at the opening ceremony in the evening of October
27, there would be a display and auction of the specialty fish on Hoa Binh
Lake; displaying and introducing Hoa Binh cultural heritage and displaying
Muong cultural cuisine; OCOP exhibition in the Northern midland and mountainous
provinces; there would be fireworks display to welcome and many special art
shows. On October 28, there would be be a sport fishing competition and fish
release to regenerate Hoa Binh lake's aquatic resources... In addition, the
Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Fisheries to
organize 2 seminars on the topic: The aquaculture development reservoir
fisheries; The solutions to protect, regenerate and develop aquatic resources
in Da River’s basin.

They continue to preserve the traditional brocade weaving, transforming these products into tourism goods while also promoting the H’Mong people's unique cultural beauty.
The image of players wearing "shorts and numbered shirts” is very familiar at the football tournaments. At Khai Ha festival in Khang Vat hamlet, Thuong Coc commune, Lac Son district, the fans, tourists and people witnessed a unique image when the Organizing Committee issued a regulation: the female participants must wear Muong skirts.
