Dien grapefruit trees were planted in Luong Son district decades ago. Recently, the grapefruit has increased to nearly 800 hectares, accounting for over 35% of the entire district's fruit area; annual output reaches over 12,000 tons. In the last days of 2023 and early 2024, surpassing 900 EU food safety inspection criteria, the first shipments of Dien Luong Son grapefruits left for the US export market.
This initiative not only opens up new opportunities for Luong Son district's typical agricultural products but also brings direct benefits to farmers. At the same time, affirming the right direction when determining the quality of specific products of the district and province associated with implementing value chain linkages.
