The town has made substantial progress in various sectors while maintaining national defence and security.

Nguyen The Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Cao Phong town’s Party Committee and Chairman of its People’s Committee, reviews the production status of citrus fruits in the area.

Nguyen The Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Cao Phong town’s Party Committee and Chairman of its People’s Committee, highlighted that overcoming initial difficulties required recognising and harnessing the town's intrinsic strengths, including its potential and advantages for sustainable, long-term development.

Agricultural production, particularly citrus tree cultivation, has been a focal point of its economic strategy. After its Cao Phong orange was granted geographical indication status, local farmers have invested in advanced agricultural techniques, maintaining over 800 hectares of related orchards with an annual output exceeding 15,000 tonnes. Over 70 and 20 local households earn more than 1 billion VND (40,000 USD) and between 3 to 9 billion VND per year from orange cultivation, respectively.

In addition to agriculture, livestock farming has also received attention, with many households investing in large-scale, centralised farming models. The service sector has thrived, with 546 households operating businesses. Moreover, the cave tourism complex within the Dau Rong (Dragon Head) mountain has emerged as a promising economic development opportunity.

To ensure financial stability for production and business, the local people's credit fund, established in 1996, has been effective in providing timely financial support to its members and the community. The fund currently manages over 200 billion VND.

Anh noted that the town's infrastructure has been significantly upgraded, with urban roads paved and residential areas landscaped for a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful environment.

In the cultural and social spheres, it has made notable achievements, including improvements in education quality, health care, and child protection. Its employment rate has increased annually, with poverty reduction and social welfare policies actively implemented.

The locality has so far received several national honours, including labour medals at third class in 2004, second class in 2009, and first class in 2015. It was also recognised as a leading unit in emulation movements by the government in 2007 and 2010, and has been awarded the provincial flag for leading emulation efforts for seven years.

The 30th anniversary celebration serves as an opportunity for the local Party organisation and residents to take stock of past achievements and areas for improvement, aiming to continue building a prosperous and thriving town.
