The two sides discussed measures to support
victims of the recent bomb blast, on December 28, so that they can return to
Vietnam as soon as possible.
They agreed to
coordinate with local authorities to first bring eight healthy people in the
tourist group back to Vietnam, then they will finish all necessary procedures
to repatriate the bodies of three dead victims.
The remaining three
seriously injured victims will have to wait for conclusions from local doctors
and they will come back Vietnam when their health conditions are stable.
Vietnamese Ambassador
Tran Thanh Cong affirmed that the Embassy will attempt to bring healthy or
slightly injured tourists to Vietnam in the next one or two days.
Meanwhile,
representatives of the travel agency Saigon Tourist said that it will make
every effort to assist victims and their relatives in returning home.
The Embassy and the delegation from Ho Chi Minh City
also met with families of bomb victims who flew to Egypt to bring their
relatives home.
