The annual event aims to strengthen ties
between families of ASEAN countries’ representatives in Italy.
Philippine Ambassador Domingo P. Nilasco, who
is also ACR Chairman, said the event is also meant to consolidate their
friendship and solidarity.
2019 is the year to honour ASEAN’s cultural
diversity, the diplomat said, adding the organisation of cultural exchange
activities will contribute to building a strong ASEAN Community.
Close to 150 guests were present at the event
to taste unique food of ASEAN member states and join various team games.
Founded in 1967, the Association of Southeast
Asian Nations (ASEAN) groups 10 member countries, namely Brunei, Cambodia,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and
Vietnam./.
