Proactively implementing solutions to ensure the supply of agricultural products for domestic and foreign markets as well as for export, the provincial agricultural sector and localities have encouraged and guided farmers to increase production, promote linkages, and actively monitor weather developments for prompt response to protect production.

Farmers in Dan Chu ward (Hoa Binh city) take care of chili growing areas to promptly meet orders from partners.

To ensure the supply, from the beginning of this year, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed the local Desks of Agriculture and Rural Development and Hoa Binh city’s economic affairs desk to closely monitor the production situation, and weather and disease developments so as to carry out the care, protection, and harvesting of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products on time; proactively control and prevent diseases in livestock and poultry; and maintain stable supply of essential agricultural materials for production.

Based on the assessment of the production capacity of localities, the department has estimated that Hoa Binh is able to supply many types of agricultural products and food in the last months of 2024 and early 2025.

As for export, in the first nine months of this year, 17 local agricultural and forestry product exporters shipped a total output of over 890,000 tonnes abroad, earning over 228 billion VND (nearly 9 million USD).

Bui Duy Linh, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that to meet the needs of people and serve the export demand, his office is carrying out measures to promote production and consumption, including supporting localities, key production areas, cooperatives, and businesses to find markets and partners; mobilizing and encouraging producers to participate in the production chains, teams, and groups to turn out products with uniform types and quality; concertedly building a brand identity system for agricultural products on direct and online platforms; and promoting product traceability. Efforts will be made to attract businesses to invest in processing and preservation technologies to increase the value and ensure the quality of agricultural products, reduce market pressure, and serve domestic consumption and export.
