The contractor speeds up construction of technical infrastructure in Tien Tien industrial cluster in Hoa Binh city.

According to Da Hop joint Stock Company - the investor of the Tien Tien industrial cluster - since the establishment of the industrial cluster in 2020, it has focused on completing legal procedures and land clearance while also investing in technical infrastructure to attract secondary investors.

With the investor’s strong commitment and economic capacity, a basic technical infrastructure system is developed. It has attracted 30 enterprises to sign land lease contracts, effectively filling the commercial land area.

Currently, Hoa Binh city has five industrial clusters with a total planned area of about 290 ha. Among them, only the Tien Tien industrial cluster has basically completed its technical infrastructure and has become particularly appealing to secondary investors.

The remaining four industrial clusters are making efforts to overcome difficulties to accelerate infrastructure investment.

Preliminary statistics from 2027 to June 2024 showed that the total investment capital in technical infrastructure of the industrial clusters in the city reached about 389 billion VND, mainly from investors while investment from State budget remains modest.

The deployment ofinfrastructure investment projects in the industrial clusters has faced difficulties related to funding, land compensation, land clearance, and resettlement.

According to the Hoa Binh provincial planning scheme for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision until 2050, the province has planned 38 industrial clusters with a total area of approximately 2,209 ha.

From 2017 to 2023, nine industrial clusters were established in the province, covering nearly 543 ha. To date, seven industrial clusters have become operational, attracting 41 secondary projects, including 38 projects approved by the provincial People's Committee for investment, and three projects applying for investment registration certificates.

Duong Quoc Thang, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that although industrial clusters are identified as the key to economic development, various challenges hinder the development of industrial clusters.

He said the Strategy on the Development of Industrial Zones and Clusters in Hoa Binh province until 2030 has identified groups of solutions to enhance the operational effectiveness of these zones and clusters. Despite various challenges ahead, this will remain an important driving force for the province's socio-economic development in the new period.
