According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, the province is on track to achieve a GDP growth rate of 9.74% this year, exceeding initial target. This remarkable growth is underpinned by robust performances across various sectors: agro-forestry-fisheries are expected to grow by 4.27%, industry and construction by 15,13%, services 6.96%, and products taxes 5.67%. Several indicators have exceeded planned targets, including a projected per capita GRDP of 81 million VND (3,200 USD), a total State budget revenue of 7,230 billion VND, an export turnover estimated at over 2 billion USD, import turnover at more than 1.37 billion USD, and an urbanisation rate of 36% by the end of 2024.

Social and environment targets have also been met, with the poverty rate reduced by 2.3%, 62.5% of the workforce now trained, 61% of the schools meeting national standards, and 92.58% of the population enrolled in health insurance. Additionally, six more communes have achieved status for a new-style rural area, bringing the total to 86 communes, or 66.67% of the province's total, with an average of 16.3 criteria per commune. Access to clean water for rural residents is estimated at 95.9%, while forest coverage remains stable at 51.61%.

The province has made decisive and concerted efforts across four strategic breakthroughs, including planning, administrative reform, workforce development linked to job creation and labour productivity, and socio-economic infrastructure, with positive results.

Delegates provided feedback on a draft decision approving investment in building 48 police offices for communes and towns across the province, as well as a draft plan to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the province's founding and the 35th anniversary of its re-establishment next year.

Concluding the event, Khanh urged departments and localities to intensify efforts to increase budget revenue and accelerate public investment disbursement. He instructed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with local authorities to finalise land use plans for swift approval by the provincial People's Committee.
