(HBO) - Over 97% of the farmers in Thanh Lap Commune (Luong Son District) joined the Association and always brighten the flame of the "Farmers doing good production and business” movement.

Accordingly, in the five years of 2012-2017, the commune has organized 44 training courses on science - technology transfer in production and livestock raising, attracting more than 2,650 farmers participating. On the one hand, the Association propagates and introduces programs and projects of enterprises wishing to collaborating production and consumption of products with farmers such as: collaboration in planting and producing organic vegetables, citrus planting (grapefruit); purchasing and installing bioga tanks, etc. for farmers to access and choose to put into their production and business. They also represent to borrow 440 million VND from the Farmer Support Fund to establish breeding cows group, attracting 10 households to participate. Moreover, they accept the entrusted authority with the District policy and social bank for 65 household loans with outstanding loans of over 850 million VND; entrusted through the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development for 223 households with loans of over 17 billion VND, that is currently no longer the bad debt.

With capital, knowledge of science and technology and support in product consumption, farmers in Thanh Lap commune have bravely invested in economic development. There are 544 farming households in the whole commune, there are 30 cars for production, trading and transportation, 116 tractors, harrows, 15 corn pickers, 11 rice threshing machines, 14 milling machines and many other machines. With mechanization, application of advanced science and technology in the production process, farmers in Thanh Lap established and have maintained Dong Suong organic farming Cooperative with 33 members. The total area for production of the Cooperative is 2.85 hectares, harvesting from 6-10 tons of all kinds of vegetables every month. Because there is little land, there are only 200 households developing economy by raising livestock, of which 22 households raise 10 female pigs or more; 150 households raising garden chickens with the scale from 1,000 to 2,000 chickens; 10 models of raising laying chickens, etc. The income of large scale livestock farming households is from 400 million VND to 1 billion VND per year. In addition, there are 5 households that produce and supply wooden products; 5 brick bloog production firms; 170 business service households and 70 citrus growers.

With this economic development state, in 2017, the commune has 425 farmers registered to become good production and business households.
