Its economic efficiency is higher than that of rice growing.

In fact, in the recent years, the movement "Farmers in Ky Son district emulate good production and business" has attracted a large number of members and farmers actively to participate in the movement. It has a strong effect to encourage farmers to change the way of thinking, how to do it, to boldly mobilize investment capital, exploit the potentials and strengths of labor, land and the available conditions to develop production, to get over the poverty and become sustainably rich. There are many good production and business farmer examples, such as Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Zone II, Ky Son town), Ms. Le Thi Luyen (Bu Cham village, Phu Minh commune), Mr. Nguyen Van Que (Trung Muong 1 hamlet, Yen Quang), Mr. Nguyen Quang Tam (Hai Cao hamlet, Hop Thinh commune), etc.

At the same time, the movement "Ky Son district together build up the New Rural Area Construction" has achieved remarkable results. Mr. Tran Hai Lam, the Chairman of Ky Son District People's Committee, said that the District People's Committee has instructed all levels and sectors to set up plans and organize emulation movements and registration of emulation criteria in association with the implementation of national target programs on New Rural Area Construction. Many movements of topic- based competitions related to the contents, criteria for building New Rural Area continue to be launched in order to solve the urge tasks and targets to speed up the construction of New Rural Areas in the localities. Some typical movements are: "All people participate in building for rural roads”, "Donating land for constructing the rural roads and public works”," "building 5 No, 3 CLEAN families" under the criteria of New Rural Area Construction.
