The 2017 Vietnam Machinery and Wood Material Fair kicked off at Binh Duong Exhibition and Convention Center in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province, on August 23.

Co-organised by the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association (HAWA) of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong provincial Wood Processing Association and Binh Duong People's Committee, the fair will run until August 24.

The fair features 420 booths from 109 wood processing and supplying businesses from Vietnam, China, Austria, Canada, France, Gabon, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland and Turkey.

Products displayed at the Fair are mainly those of wood-processing machinery, wood materials and accessories for wood processing and services.

The event is expected to provide an opportunity for production enterprises to access new technology and legal raw materials in Vietnam, in addition to being considered as a place for exchanges between manufacturers, importers and distributors of machinery and wood materials.

Within the framework of the fair, a series of activities, such as the workshop ‘Sharing experiences in improving productivity in the wood processing industry’; ‘Wood classification guide with direct guidance of experts from the US’, will be organised.
