HBO – From the start of 2019, the north western province of Hoa Binh approved investment proposals for 14 projects of domestic investors with registered capital worth nearly 1.58 trillion VND (68.31 million USD), up 1 project and 954.7 billion VND in capital compared to the same period last year.
By the end of the year’s first quarter, the
province is forecast to have 536 investment projects in total, including 38
foreign direct investment projects with 625 million USD in registered capital
and 498 domestic ones with capital of about 67.9 trillion VND (2.9 billion USD).

As
many as 50 projects have become operational in industrial parks in Hoa Binh,
contributing to tate budget collection and creating jobs for local people.

There were 88 projects receiving licences
to operate in the province’s industrial parks. Of the number, 25 projects are
FDI ones with registered capital worth 573.98 million USD and 63 domestic
projects capitalised at about 7 trillion VND.
Up to 50 projects across the province have
begin operation, creating jobs for about 17,250 labourers.
Once a mountainous province facing many challenges, Hoa Binh has, after more than a decade of implementing the national target programme on new-style rural area development, emerged as a bright spot in Vietnam’s northern midland and mountainous region. In the first quarter of 2025, the province recorded positive results, paving the way for Hoa Binh to enter a phase of accelerated growth with a proactive and confident mindset.
Hoa Binh province is steadily advancing its agricultural sector through the adoption of high-tech solutions, seen as a sustainable path for long-term development.

But beyond the numbers, it has reawakened local heritage, turning oranges, bamboo shoots, brocade, and herbal remedies into branded, market-ready goods - and, more profoundly, transformed how local communities value and present their own cultural identity.
