HBO - According to Mr. Le Van Luyen, the director of Yen Mong Livestock Raising Cooperative and General Services Cooperative, Yen Mong Commune (Hoa Binh City), there are ten households participating in the project. Within the framework of the implementing the project, the issue of training general knowledge on food safety and application of the practice rules on good production is focused.
The project has opened two training courses to propagate,
educate and raise the awareness about safe pig farming in the direction of
VietGAP of the producers and the traders. It has also built a quality system
for the people taking part in the chain.
With the guidance and supervision of the staff of the
Quality Management Sub-Department of Agro-Forestry-Fisheries, the positive
awareness of the producers about the advantages of VietGAP production and the
association of pork and produce production, the pork product under the value
chain of food safety in the period from 2017 to 2018 achieved the expected
results.
Through sampling and analyzing drinking water sources for
pigs, the criteria of the analyzed product samples have shown that samples of
pork in the establishments participating in value chain are safe in quality
without salbutamol or antibiotics or banned substances in livestock. The NHO
NHO organization in Can Tho has evaluated the obtained criteria and granted
VietGAP certificates for 3 organizations with 13 participating households,
including: Phuong Huyen Plant Production and Trading Co., Ltd., Yen Mong
Livestock Cooperatives and General Services (Hoa Binh
In parallel with the program of building food safety value
chain, the project has effectively supported people with stamps, product
identification labels, propaganda, brand promotion and market access.
Specifically, the program has supported 14,000 product bags, 25,300 smart
electronic stamps for product traceability. Coordinating with Hanoi Trade
Promotion Center, the program has helped to bring pork chain products to
consumers in Hanoi market, signing a contract to consume safe pork products in
Hoa Binh city and neighboring provinces and cities such as Hanoi and Phu Tho.
In addition, the chain products have become a familiar product of people in Hoa
Binh city through Hoa Binh clean food stores.
After more than four years of implementing a project launched by the Hoa Binh Party Committee’s Standing Board on developing agriculture and promoting product consumption linked with building new-style rural areas for the 2021-2025 period, the province’s industry and trade sector has made significant strides, greatly contributing to local socio-economic development.
