According to Bui Van Doan, head of the
management board of the Hang Kia – Pa Co Nature Reserve, to implement well the
management work, the forest rangers’ unit has increased the dissemination of
the law on forest protection and development among the locals.
In 2018 and the early months of this year, no
major wildfires or forest destruction cases were reported.

Forest rangers from the management board of the
Hang Kia – Pa Co Nature Reserve (Mai Chau) regularly exchange information on
the forest management and protection with authorities of Pa Co commune.
In addition, thanks to the coordination and
assistance from locals, the forest rangers from the management board of the
nature reserve have organised numerous inspections and patrols to prevent and
handle violations.
With the active involvement of local authorities
and people, the management of forest protection has seen positive changes. No
major forest destruction cases occurred in the past five years.
