(HBO) - A delegation from the Vietnam Farmers’ Union has worked with the farmers’ association of the northern province of Hoa Binh to examine the implementation of Project 24 on building trade associations and groups.
After three years of implementing the union’s project, the farmers’
association has disseminated and guided to establish 63 chapters and groups
with 999 members, operating in cultivation and animal husbandry.
Through the farmers’ support fund, the
association has helped farmer households borrow a total of 2.7 billion VND
(116,100 USD) in loans for production and doing business; and over 15 billion
VND through the banks’ support fund.
The association also supported its members to buy
fertiliser and farming machines as well as enabled them to join training
activities on science-technology and equipment for production.
Since establishment, the chapters and groups
have been operating effectively, creating connectivity and mutual benefits for
members in production, business and services as well as goods competitiveness.
The organisation of farmers’ chapters at all
levels has received due attention and carried out regularly. Hoa Binh is now
home to 133,469 farmer members. Through the annual evaluation, over 80 percent of
farmers’ establishments record good performance. All farmers’ establishments
have funds. The average annual fund is 70,000 VND per member per year./.
Recently, the Standing Committee of Cao Phong District’s Youth Communist Union has actively directed the effective implementation of the models of collective economic development among youth, promoting the start-up movement among the youth, and helping each other develop the economy to get rich in their homeland.

The year-end is considered a "golden time" to stimulate trade and tourism. Various activities have been organised to seize positive market signals, enhance product branding, and drive socio-economic growth.
Hoa Binh Province currently has over 870
hectares of tea plantations, with six districts having concentrated tea
production areas that boast advantages in soil, climate, history, and
distinctive tea varieties: Yen Thuy, Lac Thuy, Da Bac, Mai Chau, Tan Lac, and
Luong Son.
Recently, Hoa Binh province has continued to review the planning of industrial parks up to 2030 and implemented procedures to prepare subdivision plans for industrial parks as per regulations.
