(HBO) – The trade union of the northwestern province of Hoa Binh has launched a campaign to donate 1,000 tonnes of cement for the national target programme on building new-style rural areas.
After a launch ceremony, staff of
the provincial trade union raise a sum worth more than 3.7 million VND (160 USD).
The fundraising campaign
targets workers belonging to all levels of the trade unions in the province,
excluding those of poor and beneficiaries families.
Civil servants
receiving salary from the State budget are asked to donate at least 30,000 VND
per person while it is a minimum of 20,000 VND for workers in the business
sector. The campaign runs until September 20.
The proceeds will be
used to purchase up to 1,000 tonnes of cement to be distributed to
constructions in communes and districts of the province, in the target
programme on building new-style area.
Hoa Binh’s trade union
will team up with the provincial Steering Office 800 to distribute and transfer
aid to needy localities.
At the launch
ceremony, staff of the provincial trade union successfully raised more than 3.7
million VND (160 USD)./.
Once a mountainous province facing many challenges, Hoa Binh has, after more than a decade of implementing the national target programme on new-style rural area development, emerged as a bright spot in Vietnam’s northern midland and mountainous region. In the first quarter of 2025, the province recorded positive results, paving the way for Hoa Binh to enter a phase of accelerated growth with a proactive and confident mindset.
