(HBO) – The Hoa Binh 3 bridge is expected to be completed and opened to traffic on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet).

The completion of the Hoa Binh 3 bridge opens up new development space for Hoa Binh city.

According to Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh city People’s Committee Pham Quoc Thang, the bridge will ease the traffic pressure of Hoa Binh bridge which has been overloaded for years, and increase harmony for the city.

The Hoa Binh 3 bridge connects with National Highway 6 at Trung Minh commune and the Tran Quy Cap-Truong Han Sieu junction, opening up wider space for urban development as well as the expansion of trade and service sectors in the left bank of Da River, promoting the construction of more urban and residential areas.

In late 2019, work on Hoa Binh 2 bridge will start, spanning from Cu Chinh Lan street to Hoang Van Thu street in the left bank of the Da River.

The new bridges are modern in design and construction technology, ensuring their quality and appearance, meeting the demands in the city’s future development.

So far, Hoa Binh city has had three bridges across the Da River, opening up new chances to expand the city towards the left bank of the river.

Along with the construction of modern bridges, the city has invested trillions of VND to upgrade the infrastructure system of the city, giving the city a facelift.

The city’s inner road network has been gradually completed, while work has been launched on the Moc Chau-Hoa Binh city highway and other major roads such as Chi Lang road connecting with the National Highway 6. The Quynh Lam downtown area with a large square has taken shape.

The Da River’s left bank has been filled with apartment buildings, urban areas and trade centres. The infrastructure on the two banks of the river has been upgraded. Many urban development, trade and service projects are underway. Meanwhile, many new and modern restaurants, hotels and office buildings have also been built. With the support of the province and its own efforts, Hoa Binh city has been working to meet conditions to become a level-2 urban area in the near future./.
