(HBO) - The General Department of Taxation on March 3 issued Document No. 897/TCT-QLN instructing the local Tax Departments to extend the payment of taxes and exempt late payment fees due to impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to promptly remove difficulties for taxpayers
affected by the pandemic, and contributing to stabilising production and
business, the General Department of Taxation requested local Tax Departments to
implement the extension of tax payment as well as the exemption of late payment
fees for taxpayers, in accordance with the provisions of the current Tax
Administration Law and its guiding documents.
The General Department of Taxation also asked local
Tax Departments to proactively carry out measures to support and guide affected
taxpayers to conduct procedures to promptly extend the tax payment and receive exemption
of late payment fees in accordance with the provisions of the current Tax
Administration Law and its guiding documents.
