(HBO) – The livestock production value of the northern province of Hoa Binh was estimated at 1.6 trillion VND (69.1 million USD) in the first six months of 2020, a year-on-year rise of 3.2 percent, fulfilling 44.7 percent of the yearly plan, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The whole year’s value is expected to increase 4.5 percent year-on-year to reach 3.54 trillion VND, making up 31.2 percent of the agro-forestry-fishery sector.

Locals in Nanh Nghe commune, Da Bac district, invest in raising cattle, contributing to sustainable poverty alleviation.

Restructuring the livestock industry continues to receive attention from localities.The province is home to 30 pig farms, 11 goat farms, 54 chicken farms, and five duck farms.

 

It counts 116,000 buffaloes, 84,000 cows, 440,000 pigs, 51,000 goats, and 8,000 birds./.
