(HBO) - Minh Duc cooperative was established in July 2019 with charter capital worth 2 billion VND (86,140 USD). Its main products are commercial and breeding poultry. Lac Thuy is famous for its local chicken breed which has good meat and high resilience to diseases, especially in the cold season.
Minh
Duc cooperative in Phu Thanh commune (Lac Thuy district) invests in designing
modern cages which help reduce risks of infectious diseases for the chicken
flocks.
In addition, they are easy to breed and
favoured by consumers, generating high economic value. Lac Thuy chicken breed
has received a trade mark certificate of the National Office of Intellectual
Property of Vietnam at the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Aiming for large-scale farming and access
to major markets, seven members of the cooperatives joined hands with 23
households in the commune and neighbouring areas in production and product sale.
Accordingly, all stakeholders must closely follow regulations on cages, feed
and breed selection, among others.
Over one year since its establishment, the
cooperative has maintained its production scale, selling an average 10,000 meat
chickens at 70,000-90,000 VND per kg and tens of thousands of baby chicks at
11,000 VND per each.
The cooperative creates stable job for eight workers, with a monthly income of
6 million VND per person.
The good quality of the Lac Thuy chicken
breed has established the cooperative’s prestige, enabling it to sign long-term
contracts with many major partners, including the Phuc Nguyen poultry breeding
company in Chuong My district of Hanoi and Xuan Nui Company in Thach Thanh,
