(HBO) - Implementing the plan to improve the competitiveness of export products in the province, the provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee have directed units to focus on making products with a competitive advantage and development of those with high potential.

Enterprises have taken full advantage of free trade agreements to expand markets and boost exports, especially of high value-added products.

The province's export turnover was estimated at 73.8 million USD in August, up 15.89 percent over the previous month. The 8-month figure reached 716.3 million USD in the first eight months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 12.85 percent. The structure of export products gradually shifted to high industrial production, processing and manufacturing sectors.

The province's import turnover was forecast at 58.7 million USD last month, up 4.63 percent over July, raising the eight-month figure to 618.9 million USD, a year-on-year hike of 8.48 percent./.
