Digital transformation is an evitable trend that has attracted special attention from the Party and State over the past years. It is expected to bring about a number of benefits such as improving productivity, task performance, and flexibility. However, there are also accompanying challenges and risks like cyber-attacks and data insecurity if advanced and suitable technological solutions are not applied.
Digital transformation must be carried out concurrently on the three pillars of digital administration, digital economy, and digital society. Meanwhile, the decisive factors of successful digital transformation include policy, digital infrastructure, application platforms, human resources, and information safety.
In the recent past, the Department of Information and Communications, together with other departments and sectors, has proposed many important policies, directions, programmes, and projects in this regard to the provincial People’s Committee. It has also advised the provincial administration to sign cooperation agreements with major technology businesses of Vietnam like Viettel, VNPT, and FPT, which have introduced cutting-edge technological solutions to Hoa Binh to help with local digital transformation./.
