(HBO) - On June 29th, the Provincial Statistics Office held a press conference to announce the socio-economic data for the first 6 months of 2023. There was the attendance of the representatives from the departments, branches and the press agencies in the province.

According to the assessment, over the past time, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee have focused on directing all levels and sectors to drastically implement the solutions to restore the economic development and ensure the social security, trying to well implement the targets and tasks in 2023. In the first 6 months of the year, the total GRDP product in the province increased by 0.73%, which is lower than the national average growth figure of 3 ,72%. In the general growth of the whole economy, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.5%; the industry and construction sector decreased by over 2%; the service sector increased by nearly 4%; product tax area minus product subsidies decreased by more than 2.6%. The size of the economy at the current price is nearly 28 trillion dongs. The investment capital in the first 6 months was estimated at nearly 10,600 billion dongs, increasing 4,160 billion dongs compared to that of the same period last year, up 64.69%. The total retail sales of goods were estimated at more than 6 trillion VND, increasing more than 38% compared to that of the same period last year. The state budget revenue is estimated at 1,920 billion VND, which is 74% over that of the same period last year. The average consumer price index increased by more than 1.4%. In the whole province, there are 200 newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 2 trillion VND; 159 enterprises have registered to suspend production and business activities; 146 enterprises have voluntarily dissolved; 89 businesses returned to the market.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has created jobs for 7,641 employees, reaching 47.7% of the year plan. The education, health care, culture, sports, social security and people's life have been paid attention and actively implemented. The political security, social order and safety have been guaranteed.

At the press conference, the leaders from the Statistics Department informed and clarified some contents that the press agencies have concerned, that is the public investment capital; the results of the state budget revenues and expenditures in the province... At the same time, it is hoped that the press agencies will continue to pay attention and accompany the Statistics sector in providing the positive information on the socio-economic development situation of the province.
