The farmers in Vay Nua commune (Da Bac) have been effectively developing from the model of cage fish farming.
On the difficult land with the strong will, Mr. Ban Van Binh from Buong hamlet, Tan Pheo commune (Da Bac) has boldly invested in building a service model for processing agricultural and forestry products to increase his income and rise to be the top of the good production and business households of the district and province. He says: As a farmer family, I always try to follow Uncle Ho's example, work hard, love labor, and do not be discouraged by all difficulties to develop economy. The model of my family currently brings in an income of 700 million - 1 billion VND a year, creating regular jobs for 8-12 local employees with an income of 4-6 million VND a person every month. In addition, every year, my family help sand supports 1-2 households of the farmer members in difficult circumstances to rise out of poverty. The effectiveness of the model of Mr. Ban Van Binh has contributed to spreading the movement of the farmers emulating good production and business to the whole commune and district.
In the period of 2018 - 2023, responding to the specific contents following Uncle Ho's moral example, the district’s Farmer’s Union has built a practical and effective year-by-year plan; closely associating with building a strong Party and association. At the same time, it is suggested integrating with the organization and implementation of the movements and campaigns of the patriotic emulation launched by the Party, government, Fatherland Front and associations; it has effectively dealt with the central and core tasks and the pressing issues in the practice of farmers' associations and movements.
In addition, implementing Uncle Ho's teachings "talk the talk, walk the walk”, the Union has built an action plan which is close to the local political conditions, characteristics and tasks associated with the Union's 3 major movements to mobilize officers and employees. The farmer members have successfully carried out the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring the national defense and security set out by the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels. In which, the movement "Farmers emulate good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty in a sustainable way” has been focused on by all levels of the Unions. From the movement, the effective models and methods have been implemented and replicated, helping many members to rise out of poverty sustainably, and many members to become typical good farmers in production and business at the district’s and province’s levels.
By the specific and practical actions, the study and follow-up of Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morality and style of the district’s farmer union has created a far-reaching influence, creating a strong change in the awareness, behavior and actions of the officers and members. Thereby, it has been contributing to promoting emulation movements and building the union’s development; The material and spiritual life of the members is increasing day by day. During this period, there are 16,644 turns of the member households being recognized with the title of good production and business farmers at all levels, reaching 55% of the registered households. The farmer members in the district has contributed 870 million VND, nearly 9,100 working days, donated over 277.3 m2 of land for the construction of rural infrastructure works…
Ms. Quach Thi Khieu, the Vice Chairman of the Farmer Union of Da Bac district says: In the period of 2018 - 2023, in the whole district there are 112 member households with the income from 200 - under 500 million VND a year; 41 households with the income from 500 million to 1 billion VND a year; 12 households with the income of over 1 billion VND a year. The movement "Farmers emulate good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably” is one of the contents concretizing learning and following Uncle Ho's example, which has been effectively implemented by all levels of Farmer Union in the district. Thereby, the farmer members have been promoting the internal resources, exploiting the potentials and strengths of the locality in production and business development, building the new countryside, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of socio-economic development of the locality.
