(HBO) - On October 19th, the Organizing Committee of the first Fish and Shrimp Festival of Da River in Hoa Binh province; Agricultural Fair and OCOP Exhibition in the Northern Midlands and Mountains in 2023 (Festival and Fair) issued a Press Release about the Festival and Fair.


Hoa Binh Lake is charmful with mountains and water, rich in aquatic resources, and it is a potential and advantage that contributes to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

Accordingly, the organization of Festivals and Fairs has the purpose of promoting the development of production of the aquatic industry and fish and shrimp products from Da River; Strengthening promotion and affirming that copyrighted brands associated with agricultural products are the rights of the owner of two specialty brands "Da River’s Shrimp in Hoa Binh” and "Da River’s Fish in Hoa Binh”.

Promoting the unique agricultural products of Hoa Binh province; Introducing the impressive images of the potential, strengths, landscape and traditional cultural identity of Hoa Binh province in general, and the tourism area with Hoa binh lake in particular, contributing to stimulating tourism development and attracting and expanding the domestic and foreign tourism market to Hoa Binh province.

There are economic exchanges, trade promotion, investment promotion for the agricultural products and projects; Seeking the opportunities for regional linkages for the localities in the region to work together, promote the common development of the agriculture and rural development industry towards the export market, connecting the scientific achievements and technology applications in the goods chain and the consumption contracting activities.

It is important to support and create conditions for businesses, farms, production and commercial establishments in the Northern midlands and mountains in particular and the whole country in general to buy, sell, exchange and transact directly with businesses purchasing and processing agricultural, forestry and aquatic products nationwide.

It is necessary to promote the service and commercial activities, tourism and cultural and social activities, creating a jubilant and bustling atmosphere in the area to serve the people and tourists so that they can enjoy and shop for goods, exchange information, contributing to stabilizing the domestic market, ensuring the social security, building new rural areas and socio-economic development in the area.

The Festival and Fair takes place from October 26 - 31, 2023. The venue is in Hoa Binh city, Tan Lac district, Cao Phong.

The main activities within the framework of Festivals and Fairs: Information, propaganda and promotion; fish praying ceremony, releasing flower lanterns on the Da River; opening of Festivals and Fairs; exhibition, introduction and auction of the fish specialties of Hoa Binh lake; displaying and introducing the cultural heritage and quintessence of traditional Muong ethnic cuisine; displaying the agricultural products, OCOP products, the general trade booths; organizing fireworks displays to celebrate Festivals and Fairs; Organizing a national fishery conference with the theme: "Developing reservoir aquaculture”; a specialized agricultural extension seminar on the subject: "The solutions to protect, regenerate and develop aquatic resources within Da River basin”; Fishing competition on Hoa Binh lake associated with the cultural promotion and introduction of the tourism landscape within Hoa Binh lake; releasing fish to regenerate aquatic resources on Hoa Binh hydroelectric reservoir...
