Along with the products of bamboo shoots, in recent years, a succession of agricultural products applying clean, high-quality production processes have been "exported”. They are Tan Lac red pomelos, Dien pomelos in Yen Thuy, Son Thuy longan (Kim Boi), Lac Son sugarcane, Cao Phong oranges... These are the initial positive results in implementing the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Provincial Party: Diversification the export market; trying to increase the annual export turnover by an average of more than 18%. At the same time, it also concretizes the plan to restructure the agricultural sector for the period of 2021 - 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, including the goal of developing forms of preliminary processing, creating diverse products to serve the export market and the domestic consumption...

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has actively deployed and well implemented the planning management in the field of agriculture and rural development. The activities to promote the investment attraction in the agricultural sector have been focused. The efforts of the Agriculture and Rural Development sector, the active participation of the local governments and the efforts of the farmers in production have contributed to achieving and exceeding most of the sector's development targets compared to the targets proposed in the Resolution of the Provincial Party in the last half term. The growth rate of GRDP of agriculture, forestry and fisheries reached 4.69%/year; the forest coverage maintained at 51.69%, exceeding by 0.37% of the resolution target. The model of linking production and consumption of agricultural products to ensure food safety has been deployed to the districts and the city; The state management in agriculture has been strengthened and promoted effectively. The average product value on arable land area reaches 160 - 165 million VND/ha, that on the average aquaculture water surface area reaches 180 - 200 million VND/ha; Over 4,400 hectares of production land have been consolidated and exchanged plots...

Compared to the period of 2015 - 2020, the output of the major crops and livestock has increased. The model of linking production and consumption of the agricultural products to ensure food safety has been deployed to the localities; The state management in agriculture and rural development has been strengthened and promoted effectively. The number of investment projects in agriculture and rural areas tends to increase. 

The solutions to restructure the industry, the OCOP Program, and new rural construction have been implemented synchronously, ensuring the targets in the set plans. The most prominent in the half term is the province's key and advantageous agricultural export activities. This is a breakthrough activity of the agricultural industry, the export value of agricultural and forestry products in 2023 has increased by 10.01% compared to that of 2022. At the same time, in the coming time, red pomelos and Dien pomelos of 7 cooperatives are exported to the UK, US and EU markets with a value of about 1.29 billion VND.
